What an FBA Prep Center Actually Does

When your factory finishes production, the cartons are not FBA-ready. Amazon requires every unit to carry the right label, every carton to meet weight and size limits, and every shipment to arrive with a confirmed delivery appointment. Miss one requirement and your shipment is refused at the dock — you then pay storage, re-shipment and re-booking fees, and your listing goes out of stock. A prep center sits between your factory and Amazon: we receive the goods at our Shenzhen warehouse, transform them into fully compliant FBA units, then hand them to the carrier already labelled and palletised.

The compliance points that cause most rejections

Box weight — US standard boxes are capped at 50 lb / 22.7 kg (heavier only for a single oversized item, with the correct label).
Box size — standard-size boxes must stay within 25 in / 63.5 cm on any side.
Battery products — lithium cells need UN38.3 test reports, MSDS and the correct hazard labelling before any carrier will accept them.
Liquids & cosmetics — nail gel, polish and press-on nail kits often classify as dangerous goods; we check the UN number and pack accordingly.
Expiry-dated goods — must be labelled with expiry in the format Amazon requires, or the whole lot is blocked.
Sets and multi-packs — must be marked "sold as set / do not separate".

Why we prep in Shenzhen, not at the destination Labour at the destination is 5–8× the cost, and a problem found after the container sails can only be fixed by re-shipping at your expense. Prepping at origin means every label, bag and pallet is verified before the goods leave China — and it is where your factory already is.

Yes. We collect from factories anywhere in China — domestic trucking to our Shenzhen warehouse is quoted together with the FBA shipment.

Do you handle lithium battery products for FBA? ＋

Yes — battery is one of our specialities. We check UN38.3 and MSDS, apply the required marks, and book carriers that accept Class 9 cargo.

How is prep charged? ＋

Per unit for labelling and bagging, per carton for repacking, and per pallet for palletisation. We quote the exact rate once we know your SKU count and unit type.

How long does prep take before the shipment leaves? ＋

Typically 2–4 working days for a full container, faster for air and LCL shipments. We photograph the finished cartons before loading.

Can you ship to multiple Amazon warehouses? ＋

Yes. We split one production batch across several FCs and book each appointment separately.
